  1. About the site. helpmap.uk is a free information service run by Dean Goff, trading as Postcode Economics. By using it you accept these terms.
  2. Information only. Listings are compiled from publicly available sources, including Give Food, the Independent Food Aid Network, food banks' own websites, council pages, Warm Welcome and Homeless Link, and are checked automatically several times a day. Opening times, eligibility, voucher or referral requirements and availability can change at short notice, and the site cannot show whether a service has space or stock right now. Please always contact the service before you travel. We do not visit or inspect the services listed.
  3. No affiliation or endorsement. We are not affiliated with, and do not endorse, any service listed. A listing is not a recommendation, and the absence of a service does not mean it does not exist.
  4. Emergencies. helpmap.uk is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, call 999. To help someone sleeping rough in England or Wales, contact StreetLink.
  5. Liability. We provide the site free of charge and “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we cannot accept liability for any loss or inconvenience arising from use of, or reliance on, the information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
  6. Corrections and removals. If you run a listed service and something is wrong, or you would like your listing changed, please email [email protected] or use “Report a problem”. We aim to act on corrections the same day.
  7. Acceptable use. Please do not misuse the site or its forms, submit false information, or try to disrupt the service.

Rest centre alerts

Rest centre alerts repeat what councils publish on their own websites. We aren't the council or the emergency services, and an alert can be late, incomplete or out of date. Always follow instructions from the emergency services and your council. If anyone is in danger, call 999.
